How to find your saved pins on Pinterest (and keep the links that matter)

On iPhone, your saved pins are in the Pinterest app under your profile: tap your profile picture in the bottom bar, then open the Saved tab. Pins are grouped into boards, and pins you saved without choosing a board are kept under Unorganized ideas. Menu names move around between app versions, so if yours looks different, check Pinterest's help pages.

This guide covers where to look, how to search your boards, why a pin sometimes cannot be found or opens to nothing, and how to copy the link of a pin you want to keep outside the app. Linkeeper is an iPhone and iPad app that saves links; it has no connection to Pinterest and does not import your boards.

Where are my saved pins in the Pinterest app?

  1. 1Open the Pinterest app and tap your profile picture in the bottom bar.
  2. 2Open the Saved tab. You will see your boards and, if you have any, Unorganized ideas.
  3. 3Tap a board to see its pins, or tap Unorganized ideas to see pins you saved without picking a board.
  4. 4Tap a pin to open it. Many pins have a button or link that goes to the website the image came from.

On the web, the same lists are on your profile page at pinterest.com after you sign in. If you cannot see a tab, make sure you are signed in to the right account; people with a personal and a business account often look in the wrong one.

How do I search my saved pins?

Pinterest lets you search only your own pins instead of everything on the platform. It searches the pin titles, descriptions and board names, so a pin saved with no description is harder to find.

  1. 1Open your profile and the Saved tab.
  2. 2Tap the search icon at the top of the Saved tab.
  3. 3Type a word you remember, such as a dish, a place or a brand.
  4. 4Open the result, or search inside a single board if you know which one it was in.

Why can't I find a pin I saved?

  • It is in a different board than you remember, or in Unorganized ideas.
  • It was saved from another account.
  • The pin was removed by its creator or by Pinterest, or the website it pointed to no longer exists. The pin may then show an error or an empty page.
  • The board is secret or was archived, so you need to open it from your profile instead of finding it in a general search.
  • You only saw the pin in your home feed and never actually saved it.

The common thread: a pin is a card that points to something else. If the original page changes or disappears, your saved card can end up pointing at nothing.

How do I copy a pin's link to keep it elsewhere?

There are two links worth knowing: the link to the pin on Pinterest, and the link to the website the pin came from. The second one is usually the one you want to keep, because it is the recipe, product page or article itself.

  1. 1Open the pin in the Pinterest app.
  2. 2To get the pin's own link, tap the Share icon and choose Copy link.
  3. 3To get the source page, tap the button or link under the image that opens the website, then use Safari's Share button or copy the address from there.

Not every pin has a source link. Some are uploaded images with no website behind them; for those only the Pinterest link exists.

How do I keep a link from Pinterest in Linkeeper?

Linkeeper keeps links on your device, in a library you can search by title, tag, note or saved text, and it does not need an account.

  1. 1Copy the link as shown above.
  2. 2Open Linkeeper and tap + in the Library header to open the add screen.
  3. 3Tap Save copied link. Linkeeper reads the clipboard only when you tap, shows a preview, and tells you if that link is already in your library. iOS may ask you to allow pasting.
  4. 4Add a short note, such as why you saved it, then save. Tags and collections can be added later.

If you opened the source website in Safari, you can instead tap Share and choose Linkeeper, which saves it without opening the app. If Linkeeper is not in the share row, add it to the share sheet first.

For food specifically, see how to save recipes from TikTok and Instagram, and to find things again later, how to find a saved link on iPhone.

Should I use boards or a link library?

Keep the recipe or product page itselfCopy the source link and save it in Linkeeper

They work together: Pinterest is good for browsing, a link library is good for keeping the page you will actually use.
