The basics
What is Linkeeper?
Linkeeper is a bookmark and read-later app for iPhone, published on the App Store as “Linkeeper - Bookmark Saver”. You share a link from TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Safari or any other app, and Linkeeper saves it with its title, description and thumbnail. Links are organized with tags and collections and stored on your device first, so search is instant and works offline. It is built by Đào Văn Thương, an independent developer in Vietnam.
Is Linkeeper available on Android?
Linkeeper is available now on the App Store for iPhone. An Android version is planned for Google Play but is not available there yet.
Is Linkeeper free?
Yes. Saving links is free and unlimited, and so are tags, search, the reader and Rediscover. Import (1,000 links), collections (10) and the hidden vault (20 links) have free limits; you can watch a short, optional ad for more room, or buy Linkeeper Unlimited once — a one-time purchase, not a subscription — to remove every limit and all ads.
Do I need an account?
No. Every feature for saving, organizing, searching and reading works without signing in. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and only used to sync your library across your own devices.
Saving and organizing links
How do I save a link?
Tap Share in any app, then choose Linkeeper. On iPhone the link is saved by a share extension, so you stay in the app you were using. You can also open Add link in Linkeeper and tap Paste: the clipboard is read only when you tap, a preview appears right away, and you are told if the link is already saved.
Why is a saved link missing its title or thumbnail?
Linkeeper fetches the title, description and thumbnail right after saving. Most sites answer immediately; TikTok and YouTube links use those platforms' own embed data, and sites that block mobile requests, such as Instagram, Facebook and Threads, go through a server-side fallback that can take a few extra seconds. If something is still missing, use Settings → Reload metadata.
How do tags and collections work?
Tags are added automatically from the source and hashtags, and you can add your own; one link can carry many tags. Collections are hand-picked groups of links, and you can share a collection as a read-only web link that anyone can open without the app or an account.
Can I search without typing Vietnamese accents?
Yes. Search runs on a local index that ignores diacritics, so typing “du lich” finds “Du Lịch”. It searches titles, descriptions, domains, notes and addresses, and it works offline.
Can I bring in links from Pocket, TikTok, Instagram or my browser?
Yes, on iOS from version 1.2. Go to Settings → Library → Import from other apps and pick a source: TikTok (favorite videos, optionally likes), Instagram (saved posts and collections), Pocket (CSV or HTML export) or a bookmarks file from Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox, Brave or Arc. The file is read on your iPhone and never uploaded; you see a preview, duplicates are skipped, folders become tags, and the whole import can be undone.
Reading
Can I read saved articles offline?
Yes. Linkeeper has an offline reader mode for articles, alongside an in-app browser. Links have read and unread states, favorites and an archive, and you can bulk-select links to act on many at once.
How does Linkeeper help me actually read what I save?
You can turn on a daily read reminder in Settings. Rediscover on Home also suggests one unread, non-archived link you saved at least a few days ago, once a day: read it, ask for another, or mark it done, which archives it with an Undo.
Privacy and your data
Is my library uploaded to a server?
Not unless you sign in. Your links, tags and collections live in a database on your device. They are synced to Linkeeper's server only after you sign in with Apple or Google. Separately, when a link comes from a site that blocks mobile requests (such as Instagram, Facebook or Threads), that link's address is sent to Linkeeper's metadata service to fetch its title and thumbnail; your library itself is not.
How does the hidden vault work?
Links you move into the hidden vault leave your normal lists and sit behind a PIN you choose, which you can unlock with Face ID or Touch ID. A privacy cover also masks the whole app the moment it leaves the foreground. If you forget the PIN, it cannot be recovered: you reset the hidden vault and lose its contents. If you use sync, hidden links sync with the rest of your library and stay hidden on your other devices.
Does Linkeeper show ads or track me?
There are no banner or pop-up ads. When you reach a free limit you can choose to watch a short rewarded ad for more room; Linkeeper Unlimited has no ads. The app uses anonymous Firebase Analytics, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Is sync free?
Sync needs a sign-in with Apple or Google. From version 1.3, syncing across devices is part of Linkeeper Unlimited for new users; anyone who already used sync before then keeps it for free. Everything else works on one device without it.
How do I move my links to a new phone?
Either sign in on the new phone to sync, or export your whole library to a JSON backup file in Settings and restore it on the new phone. The backup does not need an account.
How do I delete my account and data?
While signed in, go to Settings → Delete account. Everything synced to the server is permanently deleted. Links stored on your device stay there unless you also clear them, and uninstalling the app removes them.
