To see what you saved on Reddit, open your profile and look for Saved. In the iPhone app this is reached from your profile picture; on the website it is on your profile page. Reddit moves this menu around between versions, so if you do not see it where this guide says, check Reddit's Help Center for the current layout.

Saved is easy to fill and awkward to search. This guide covers how to find the list, why older saves seem to vanish, and how to keep your own copy of the links, including a Linkeeper setup that works from the iPhone share sheet.

How do I save a post on Reddit, and where do I find it again?

  1. 1Open a post or a comment and use the Save option: the bookmark icon or an entry in the post's ⋯ or Share menu, depending on your app version.
  2. 2To see your saves in the iPhone app, tap your profile picture and look for Saved, either in the menu that opens or inside your profile. Posts and comments are kept on separate tabs or lists.
  3. 3On the website, open your profile and choose Saved. Your saves belong to your account, so the same list appears on every device where you sign in.
  4. 4To remove one, open it in the Saved list and use the same Save option again (it then reads Unsave).

Why can't I find a post I saved on Reddit?

In rough order of how often they happen:

  • You are signed in to a different account, or logged out on the website. Saves belong to one account.
  • You saved a comment, not the post. Comments are listed separately from posts, so check the other tab.
  • The post was deleted, removed by moderators, or the community went private. The entry may remain, but the content you wanted is no longer there.
  • It is old. Many users report that the Saved list only goes back roughly 1,000 items, posts and comments together, and that older saves stop showing as you add new ones. Reddit does not document this limit in its help pages that we could check, so treat the number as a widely reported behaviour, not a promise.
  • It is buried. Saved is shown newest first and has no good way to search it, so a save from a year ago can take a lot of scrolling.

The common thread: a Reddit save is a pointer to a post, not a copy of it. If the post is removed or the list stops showing it, what you wanted goes with it.

How do I get my older saves back?

If you suspect you have more saves than the list shows, the most commonly suggested route is Reddit's own data request: in your account settings (on the website) there is a request for a copy of your data, and the file you receive is reported to include a list of what you saved, often as plain links. Reddit decides what is in the file and how long it takes, so check the current options in your account settings.

Once you have the links you can open the ones that still matter and re-save them somewhere you control, as below. It is not worth rescuing everything: most people only need a few dozen of those saves.

How do I keep my own list of Reddit posts?

Three options, from the simplest:

  • Keep using Reddit's Save. Fine for “I'll read this tonight”, and it costs nothing. Just do not treat it as an archive.
  • Copy the link to Notes or a message to yourself. Tap Share on the post, choose Copy link and paste it with a few words on why you saved it. Searchable, but it grows into one long note.
  • Send the link to a link app. Your Reddit posts then sit next to everything else you save, in one search box, and do not depend on Reddit's list.

Whichever you pick, write a few words of context when you save. “Thread on fixing a leaky tap” is findable next year; a bare link is not. For anything you cannot afford to lose, copy the key point into your note, because the link stops working if the post is deleted.

How do I save a Reddit post to Linkeeper?

Linkeeper stores the link, not the post, but it makes the list searchable and keeps it available offline. It works from the iOS share sheet, so you never leave Reddit.

  1. 1In the Reddit app, open the post and tap Share, then choose the option that opens the iOS share sheet (often “Share via…” or “More”). If you only see Copy link, copy it, then open Linkeeper and add the link from the clipboard.
  2. 2Choose Linkeeper in the share sheet. The link is saved without opening the app; if Linkeeper is not in the row of apps, scroll to the end and tap More to add it. How to add an app to the iPhone share sheet shows how.
  3. 3Open the Library tab. Linkeeper has no special handling for Reddit, so these links are grouped under “Other sites” in the Source filter. To keep them together, add your own tag such as “Reddit”, or one per subreddit, on the link's detail screen.
  4. 4To find one later, use the search bar. It searches titles, your notes and, for pages that were read, the saved text, and it also matches the website address, so typing “reddit” lists the links from Reddit. Search works offline.
  5. 5To see every Reddit link together without a tag, choose Filter at the top of the Library and sort by website.

One honest limitation: Linkeeper reads a link's title and thumbnail from the page itself, and some pages do not hand that to an app. If a Reddit card shows only the web address, open the link or add your own note on the link's detail screen (“Add a note…”) so it is still searchable by what you remember.

Should I keep using Reddit's Save too?

Yes, if it suits you. It is one tap and you can use both. A link app is for the posts you want to find later together with everything else you have saved. For how other apps handle the same problem, see how to find your bookmarks on X and how to save Threads posts, and for the general case, how to find a saved link on iPhone.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my saved posts on Reddit?
Open your profile and look for Saved. In the iPhone app it is reached from your profile picture; on the website it is on your profile page. Menus change between versions, so check Reddit's Help Center if yours looks different.
Is there a limit to how many posts I can save on Reddit?
Many users report that the Saved list shows only about the latest 1,000 items, posts and comments together. Reddit does not document this in the help pages we could check, so treat it as reported behaviour rather than an official number.
Why did a saved Reddit post disappear?
Common reasons: the post was deleted or removed, the community went private, you are signed in to another account, or the save is older than what the list displays. A save is a pointer to the post, not a copy.
Can I save a Reddit post to a link app on iPhone?
Yes. Use Share on the post to reach the iOS share sheet, or copy the link. In Linkeeper the link is saved without opening the app and can be tagged, noted and searched.
Does Linkeeper recognise Reddit links?
Not specially. They appear under “Other sites” in the Source filter and can be found by searching “reddit” or by a tag you add yourself. Linkeeper saves the link and tries to fetch a title and thumbnail, which not every page provides.
